Projects Funded 2007– 2008

Society of St. Vincent de Paul

Contribution toward the $16,000 renovation and addition of 600 square feet to Clearwater Thrift Store.  Proceeds from the Thrift Store are used to help individuals and families in need.

Clothes to Kids

Monies will be used to provide $15 shoe vouchers from Wal-Mart to children.

Gulfcoast Oncology Foundation                  

The foundation helps cancer patients meet non-medical expenses such as utility bills, rent etc.  The organization has a donor that will match our money.

American Cancer Society                      

Our Club helped to support an annual Christmas party for kids with cancer.

Faces of Courage Inc.                             

Monies will be used to support a Christmas Camp for 80 kids with cancer and  other blood disorders; siblings will also attend.  The organization uses Rotary Camp Florida for this and three other camps per year. Total cost for this camp is $22,000-$25,000.

James A. Schlipmann Melanoma Cancer Foundation    

The organization offers free melanoma screening and education.  Clearwater east contribution will be used to offset the cost of a mobile screening unit.

Pinellas Education Foundation                

This year we are funding one technical scholarship.

Sepsis Alliance                            

Our contribution will help fund an endowment in infectious disease department at USF.

Eckerd Youth Alternatives                       

Clearwater East received a District Simplified grant to assist in the funding of Mythbusters, a literacy program for adolescents participating in EYA residential programs.

Emmanuel Community Church                  

Funds used to support the community concert series; proceeds from the series are used to support a variety of community charities and organizations.

Paul B. Stephens School
